Can I breed a Redstripe to a Super Hypo?

beardedboy Aug 24, 2006 06:56 PM

I was told that if I bred my redstripe male to super hypo female I would get 'b' grade hypos. Another person told me because both traits were dominate, I would get either jungle super hypos or jungle hypos. I was also told I might get patternless redstipes (rainbows). Whats right? Below is the picture of my male red stripe and female super hypo.

The morphs are not dominant... They are linebred (polygenetic). I would guess that you would get mix between the two because of so many genes interacting to form both morphs.

"A picture is worth a thousand words." The one on the right is a (Redstripe x SHTCTB) x sib, the larger one is an F7 Redstripe. You'll get some of these and some normal bandeds, probably some superhypos but we haven't out of about 20 hatched so far.
