ORANGE BELLY "GOINI".....Ooooooooo,YeeeaAAH! I'd like to see some other's with these,BUT if i'm the only one with em then that's the way it is. Oh-Well.

Because "goini" is an obsolete ssp. name, basicly only used by hobbyists. "brooksi" is another name that is only used by hobbyists. To me "goini" are just a variation of eastern king and "brooksi" are just a variation of florida king. I believe a lot of strange stuff.

So what are their names now? Sorry, I've never been good at the whole classification thing.

According to J.T.Collins/Center of N.American Herpetology, "goini" are meansi now. But like i said b/4 i don't agree with that, and there is a growing number that also don't agree with it. It's all good anyway, people call their snakes what they want, they always have.

"brooksi" was changed years ago and it is now a light phased/southern floridana.

Qualified herpetologists have told me that sub-specifics are on the way out, so i guess it don't mean ****,lol! anyway.

I see...It almost seems pointless to learn subs, since they always seem to be in "debate" by all the experts.

Unless you are really intrested then it's pointless, taxonomy is not a permanantly exact science but a temporary science meaning that the names of taxon are constantly changing, taxonomy has always been like that. I don't like it as much as i did when i was a kid.
