Standard BCI protocol apply, variants with or without "cooling" both work.
Not all respond to either or both methods, snakes will be snakes RIGHT!

Thanks for your reply!! So i don'd have to do somting special according to breeding preparation??
Do some of you know if Dennis Sargent has his own webpage??
Thanks for your time!
No he doesnt,he is on here every now and then.....
He had a 1.1 Pure Island Adult pair up 4 sale recently.I believe he sold them. All of our most recent 04/05 are from his F1 stock from 98.
We VERY MUCH Plan on keeping them pure strain, its a shame others havent. It wont be but another 1-2 years and theyll be junked-out like the Hog Isle BCI,rumor has it a Hog/Roatan breeding is at hand

It would be great if you can keep them strain!! To many people breed them with other boa species RONG RONG RONG!!! is my opinion.
M do you have pics of your adult firebelly's?? I'm really curious lol. if you don't mind?
Thanks!!
it's tipical for boas to not have to have a big temp swing for ova development. although They have showed better clutch sucsess if you follow the natural temp swings for its habitat. Exp. argentines may need a bit more of a swing that a more equitorial variant.
The reason i askt the question about breeding preparation is because i bought (get them sunday) jong adult pair of wild cought honduran fire belly's. Do wildcought animals need to be cooldown??
When they where imported the where about one year old.they are almost 4 years old now.
So do wildcought animals need special preparation for breeding??
When i pic them up i'll show you guy's some pictures here on kingsnake.
Thanks for helping!
These you refer to must be mainland form Hondurans no ?
Theres no way they can be WC Island locale.
Dennis Sargent coined the name "Fire-Belly" in reference to the Insular form from Honduras. Then the name went generic and has been distorted to reference any/all Honduran BCI with colored bellys. One source actually sold them as Tiger Boas LMAO !!!
Sadly the morphers have really mutted out the form for the Candy Store.

I think your right about that. The one's i bought are mainland hondurans.Bu they are extemely red colored.
So if i understand correctly the firebelly's are originate from the largest of the Bahia Islands off the coast of Honduras??
Yes Sir,
That would be Roatan Island
As for the mainland form.....Yes some of them do "flash" the red.
Many dont understand the vast "CLEAR"differences between the two locales,of which there are several.
boa-constrictors.com has a FireBelly write up thats pretty cool.

OKE!! now it's all clear to me!! I am from europe and i heard that there are few animals from de real fire belly origine in europe.
Most people sell the mainland honduras as real fire belly's over here.
Is it true that the mainland stays a little smaller than the island form??
If you like i can send you some pictures sunday when i pic them up?? This is my E mail duncan_098@hotmail.com.
Thanks for all the info!!
