Loud noises and late stage pregnancy

ritamcfarsons Aug 25, 2006 11:01 AM

i am considering moving my pair of boas and their cages to the garage where handling and mantainance will be easier. the temp is stable and i would make a partition with their own window so that exhaust is not an issue. however my bro keeps his boat in this garage and he turns the motor on 10mins a week during summer, and in summer only. the breeding will take place in winter so noise is not an issue. would however the loud noises affect severly the female in her last 2.5 (roughly) months?

I would say that the noise made by the boat shouldn't effect your boas since they don't have ears and don't actually hear anything...I guess if it was really loud they may be effcted by the vibrations....I would be more concerned about the fumes from the exhaust..

Just my thoughts, Terry
