Back from a trip to China, and thought forum members might like to see a beautiful viper - Protobothrops jerdoni - very common in the area of central China I was working in. Found them at 6,000' elevation in meadows, on rock walls, along streams; this one may be gravid; she's much heavier-bodied than most that I've seen.
