i asked this same question probably over a year ago. i'll try to answer the best that i remember. i may not be totally 100 percent right on all of this and if i'm wrong in any way someone please correct me.
i understand that suri's and guyanas are pretty much the same, come from the same area just different parts. i keep several of both, suri and columbians never had a guyana. suri tend to grow much larger females sometimes to 12 foot or maybe slightly larger while columbian females typically 6 to 9 feet maybe slightly larger. suri's , BCC boa constrictor constrictor, tend to grow slower then columbians , BCI boa constrictor imperior.
of course there are visual difference that you just need to look at a picture to tell.
as far as behavior go with my personal animals. growth does appear to be slower in suri's. my suri's are great always laid back and extremely easy to handle never hisses struck or tried to bite to me just great animals. my columbians are great also but sometimes appear a little more aggressive, coiling up as if ready to strike but none never bite while handling. got bit once by one of my 6 foot females when feeding but it totally was my own fault for placing a f/k rat in the cage with my hand and not with my feeding tongs. she went for the rat and guess where my hand was? lol prteey stupid on my end i know but good that it happened so i don't get to comfortable again around her while feeding.
if you want to read up on more info on both try www.riobravoreptiles.com they have some great info. hope this helps and if anyone reads and see'e i was not correct please correct me so i know myself. also don't mind any spelling or grammer mistakes i just work up for work and have not had my pot of coffee yet lol.
