My large female moved directly under the heat lamp a month ago. And although I have a male in with her, I never saw any breeding action going on. But have to admit I never watched them much anyway as the cage is in my living room and they don't move about until lights out when I got to sleep.
Well I took her out to clean the other day, and she measured just over 7 foot. And this is a 2002 specimen. How she grew to 7 foot in 4 years is amazing as I got it a year ago when it was 4 foot. But she is growing like corn.
And much less, I can see a large swelling which tells me she is gravid or ovulating? Combined with her frequent baskings, I am hoping she is gravid. Sorry about the quality of the photograph.
