My favorite part of breeding.....

Sojourner Aug 26, 2006 06:16 PM

We bought our fisrt boa in the summer of 2001, after a bit of research, and a long time want to own a snake in general. In doing research about their care online, I found something I never would have imagined, and after owning one I KNEW I had to have more, investing in a small collection of some very nice animals.

It has now been three years in a row of producing our own boa babies, and the rewards are beyond words. But the best part of all, I must say, is getting to keep the keepers.....

Here are three from the only litter we had this year. They are from an EBV Red Group Hypo X Het coral Albino(extremely red female and would be a coral if she had been an albino)...

Female red group 50% Het coral Albino.....

Female red group Hypo 50% Het coral Sunglow...

Male red group 50% Het coral Albino.....

What do you think? Lets see some of your "keepers". BTW, you don't have to be the one who produced it for it to be a keeper to you.

Smokin' holdbacks!! I would have thought you were in the hobby a bit longer producing such killer animals like that. You must have been picky in purchasing the parents. Great job!!

Here are two of my keepers that will be bred together in a few years. First is a female from the same litter - thanks for letting this one go Jesse. Second is an albino I produced this year. Hey Jesse, can you imagine the sunglows if this girl proves out?
