Croton Plants.....

....are they safe to use in RETF tank???

I asked this same question and the answer greatly depends on who you ask. Croton plants do contain a sap which is potentially toxic to frogs if they come into contact with it. The sap is only released if the stem is broken. But, the stems are fairly sturdy - for a RETF at least, where it is unlikely that they would snap a stem. And if one did get broken, they ooze a very small amount of sap before it dries up. So, the answer is yes and no. There are people who have used them a very long time with no problems at all but they do recognize there is the potential for those problems to arise. Hope this helps!
