Scott has some fantasic specimens, no doubt about it. Hopefully i'll be adding some of Scott's animals to my collection next year. If i ever get my new rack finished.

Would love to come but my plate is too full for any distance travel. Next year Im hoping to hit Daytona though. I am going to try and make the big Chicago show (not as a vendor) in October.

and a crap load of E. Kings . . . Next year I'll be home to take pics of ALL the babies. Couldn't do it this year, since I'm overseas (Unlike my wife, I know how to use the digicam, lol!) So I admit it IS my fault that you didn't get to see any new kings of mine . . . Next year I hope to make the checklist!!!
. . . All in god fun of course. But seriously, since I've been overseas it IS hard to keep things going. I'll be back soon, though . . .
And I'll be posting MORE pics than JETZEN!!!!!!! BOOOOWAAAHAAAHAAAAAHAAAAAAHAAAAAAHAAAAAA!!! - Ok, maybe not that many - some of us ARE married for a living! (By the way, keep them pics coming Jetzen - they're great! Especially ol' Muttly)

That 3rd one down has right on the money white!

BlueKing Aug 28, 2006 05:47 AM

And he also fathered 12 little ones this year. . . Hope to get pics of them soon. It is hard to get my wife to take pics of ANY of my snakes since being overseas. She works too much and then has to come home to take of my snakes. I know this isn't easy for her, so I have to be patient!!!

Well i hope you do post a lot of pics when you come back from the 3rd world, and please don't get too much sun overthere.

BlueKing Aug 27, 2006 03:10 PM

Third world is right: When I was riding home in a nice clean cab last night I just finished drinking a Mountain dew. I held the can in my lap, hoping to dump it when I got home (I always do this). When the cabbie pulled up to a red light at a busy intersection, he rolls down my window and says : here you go, throw it out! I reluctantly threw the can out. He just smiled as if to say: See, that was easy! I look around me and NOBODY cares! I was amazed! These people accept this and it IS legal. They hire other third world country people to pick up the trash EVERY morning on ALL the streets here!!! AMAZING!
(Of course I wouldn't have tossed the can had we been outside the city. There IS some wildlife out here (mostly geckos, lol))
This is also the same country that uses babies and tiny children as front seat airbags for grownups while driving way over the speed limit during evening rush hour (no kids' seats exist) - YET they will cut your hand off for stealing!!!
GO FIGURE! ! ! !

I know you'll be glad when you get back Zee. I was in Qatar a couple of years ago, and the 120 degree daily temps are not fun. The place was so darn bright, my eyes needed to adjust getting back to the states. Sun glasses my man. Don't leave your tent, hardend shelter, or whatever they have you sleeping in, without them.

JETZEN Aug 27, 2006 03:40 PM

Is there any neato stuff there besides geckos and sand boas? I'd like some native herp pics from over there.

BlueKing Aug 27, 2006 04:01 PM

When the weather cools off a little I will get out and check out the area some more. They DO have some REALLY HUGE Uromastix Aegyptius here. I have found several around 4-5 pounds and a little over 2.5 foot long. That's HUGE considering that their tails are shorter than their body length! Their dens look like small badger holes or even more like large gopher tortoise burrows and they are just as DEEP!!! I have also seen some egyptian racers and sandvipers here. So far the only snake found was a 9" sandboa. It was a pretty little guy (or gal).
Some of the geckos here,(not the mediterraneans) are decent size too (around 8". I'll keep my eyes open!

I want a pic of Spinosaurus aegypticus!!!!
Todd Hughes

BlueKing Aug 28, 2006 05:43 AM

In time my friend - All in good time! (they are inactive during this time of year and stay in their burrows). To dig one up is an ENORMOUS task I don't ever want to try again, lol! SEVERAL reasons: A VERY, VERY, VERY looooong hole, A very DEEP hole. AND many desert critters share this microhabitat with this animal: Sand vipers & scorpions are some of the main ones.

But anyway: Can't wait til' next year!!!!!!! ALTERNA fever will be setting in soon, lol!!!
