Marking reptiles

ladysharon Aug 04, 2003 04:18 PM

Hello. I am trying this question here because 1. I have a bearded dragon and read this forum too... and 2. I see lots of pics of baby beardeds with numbers written on them.

I am getting some baby snakes and I would like to put small colored dots on their tails to tell them appart until they show a natural differecnce in coloring and/or size.

Can anyone recommend a brand of marker/paint (I have no idea what is used) that is NON TOXIC (ie won't absorb through the skin) and won't wash off in water?

Thanks
- Sharon

I used non-toxic acrylic paint that I got at walmart. you know the ones in the packages with multiple colors. Acrylic paint doens't wash off and non-toxic is fine. Just dab it on with a q-tip and you might want to pat it dry a bit so it doens't get all over

Thank you for the reply!!!

However, could you please give me a brand name? I would feel alot better if I knew the brand for sure. Because I'm sure we are in different states it is possible for different walmarts to carry different paints... and I don't want to assume...

Thanks
