Mex Black King in bowl...

My 3 year old mexican black king will sometimes spend time in his water bowl,,,is this usual? He is not about to shed,,,he just did that a week ago.

Yea that is normal...all my kings love to lay in their water bowl now and then

It may be a little warm in the room/enclosure. Sometimes my snakes hide under the bowl even if their hide is on the cool side. I see this a lot during the dog days of August.

Like the others said, pretty normal. Mine seem to sit in theirs when the A/C just doesn't quite cut it, and their temps get a little warmer than usual.

My MBK loves to hide under her water dish before she sheds. The only snake I have that always soaks is my SD Gopher and I think it's because she feels it's too hot.
