Are your clutches producing similar looking clowns, or does one clutch contain reduced pattern clowns and more normal looking clowns?

Hey Dave - just came across this post while doing the WIR - from my talks with several clown breeders - yes the pattern of the clown is genetic. Even my hets which are all from reduced pattern lines have a reduced pattern to them. So if you are breeding for pattern you need to take into consideration the pattern from both parents and what you are going to breed into. It is possible to get a split clutch if one or both of the breeding parents carry a "normal" pattern gene.
Hope that helps.
