acceptable heaters?

happycamper06 Aug 27, 2006 02:39 PM

just wondering what types of heaters are acceptable (wont burn snake or melt tank material) for use with sterilites/rubbermaids. i was thinking about flexwatt but ive been told by some people that flexwatt is made more for racks than for single unit sterilites.

How do you plan on using the sterilite? If it is going to sit on something like a bookcase top or other solid surface then flexwatt would be fine. You can just tape it down, then put the sterlite on top of it. Or you could tape it to the sterilite.

I would not use a sterilite for a boa unless it is in a rack. Even a yearling will easily be able to push the lid up and escape.

theyve never escaped but if they do i will deal with it. all i need to know is what kind of heater wont burn a hole in the plastic or the carpet. thanks.
