I was thinking of using spagnum peat moss and sand for substate for a water Monitor. Any thoughts? Are there any problems with peat moss?

no i would not reccomend that course bark chippings or peat soil although thats messier but definitely not sand. monitors can dig(as im sure your aware) and as i pointed out earlier it could throw the peat all over the place but threre are a pluses but using either of these is far closer to a water monitors natural habitat and as for the moss yes plenty in certain spots. i hope ive helped.
