Odd Lip Dots

Chance Aug 27, 2006 07:11 PM

This girl shed out a few days ago, and while cleaning cages yesterday I noticed something I hadn't seen before: these bright yellow dots on either side of her lips. No, I'm not saying she's the next big thing in morphs...hah...but it's still neat anyway. In addition to these new adornments, her personality has also taken on a bit more color. She freely strikes at anything that approaches now. Before, she was quite handleable. Strange. Anyway, enjoy the photos.

Hah, that's a thought, but not likely. We'll see what pops out when I put my yb to her

Hah! Well I'm not planning on granting this lovely lady any name other than ball python until she proves to be heritable, but even at that, I'm not sure I'd use that name! lol Interesting though. Have any pics of your guy?

most of my 100% het from albinos from last season had those markings. You can still see them on my site cause I haven't updated and put this years babies up yet.

My first batch this year didn't have the dots so it must be from that female I am thinking. though I have one more clutch due in the next week from a 3rd female so we will see if they appear again or not.
