An idea about a solid orange boa

tsusnakeguy Aug 27, 2006 07:41 PM

I got to thinking and then I saw the photo below of a hypo motley, would a super motley super hypo give you a solid orange snake? If so that would be probably the coolest looking snake out there right now. A patternless orange boa... come on you know you would love it. I am just wondering what is everyone elses thoughts. Also do you think a super motley moonglow would be solide white with no pattern?

The motley breeders are way ahead of you.
The super motley sunsets might be a little orange. lol

Im sure the motley breeders are way ahead of you on this one. I think it would actually have to be a super albino motley. The color on the albino's tails are hardly red but mostly orange so with that said should put out a nice orange boa but what do I know, I just want a motley period.

From the pictures I saw, it was red, but it may change to orange with age. I'd expect someone to have one by next year.

I hadn't heard about the still born hypo super motley, but I have hear that there is a sunglow motley out there which means that we are very close too seeing what these beautiful snakes hold for in store for us, I think we are instore for some really beautiful snakes with this motley gene. In my opinion the hyo super motley will be a nice soild red color, or a pale red, just like the saddles on hypo boas. But the real beauty is going to be the sunglow super motley, imaging a snake solid bright orange just like the saddels on sunglows. Either way we still have alot in stroe for us with this motley gene, I am to say the least exstatic!!!!

My motley project consists of:
1.1 05 Motleys 50% poss het albino
0.1 04 Hypo Het albino
(If I get lucky I could have a sunglow motley!!!)

Thanks

Who Produced a Sunglow Motley??? Does anyone have a pic?

Luke Snyder Aug 28, 2006 01:15 PM

I have yet to see a pic myself. But I sure would love to see one.

The sunglow motley probably does not look as good as we might think, because of the fact that the hypo gene washes away alot of the motley pattern. It will probably be a nice looking sunglow but we would not be able to tell it was a motley unless some one told us it was. This is just my opinion and I hate to sound like a hater but most hypo motleys do not look that good to me.(pattern wise)
