Muffins??

QTGirl813 Aug 28, 2006 08:53 AM

I have had my beardie for 5 years and have a pretty good idea as to what they can and can't have to eat, but I was wondering if a piece of a muffin would be harmful once in a while? I tried researching it and couldn't find anything. I don't see how it could be bad, but let me know. Thanks!

I don't think it would actually harm th dragon to feed a little bit of muffin but it is completely unnecessary for them to eat. As muffins are high in fat and sugar (and often have nothing else useful for a bearded dragon, though high fibre type muffins (ie bran muffins) will at least give them a bit of grains). A few crumbs sprinkled over their salad may be fine for a very rare treat but it would be better to just sprinkle a couple of waxworms or fruit pieces instead.
