I never thought it would happen to me...

Sigh.
Somehow my male African house snake escaped from his enclosure. He's been gone almost a week. I've tried everything.
I tore the house apart several times, left out pinkies to draw him out, sprinkled flour in strategic places around the house for him to leave tracks in, plastic bags around the edges of the room, etc.

Nothing.

I have the sneaking suspicion he either got outside or he's deep in the walls never to be seen again...

This sucks...

...I know people that have found their snakes months later. Try leaving a water dish in the middle of the room where you lost it and sprinkling the flour around that to at least see where he's at. Also try any warm places, such as the back of your fridge, cable box, etc.

Good luck!

Yup...I did the water bowl and flour too.
I've been trying to check the fridge nightly.

Months?...gees. The problem is I haven't seen ANY sign of him. I figured there'd be SOME tracks in the flour...

I guess I'll keep looking...

My Female Hondo got out a while back, and there was no trace of her for 3 weeks. One day I'm cleaning tanks, happen to move one, and there's a fresh shed back there! Well, once I knew of her general location, I just put a pinky down and she came right out to get it. Keep looking...

My Baird's Ratsnake escaped last September. 8 months later, he showed up...healthy and grown! Put him back in a bigger tank. FYI...He's GONE again!!! I've had 4 escapes in the past 5 years. 2 that I found right away. And friggin' Houdini who escaped twice. He'll be back. :D
