Hi all.. Well not long ago I posted on here asking for an ID, and well I need yet another one. This snake was found in my buds home. Montgomery, AL. I would guess it's a corn snake, but would be curious as to what it is exactly or maybe I am wrong? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know much, but I don't think that's a corn. Looks like a black rat or some such thing.

Not a TX rat in Alabama, I think. Just a common "black" rat intergrade. Most likely a cross of a gray and black, which winds up looking a lot like a TX rat

Im From extreme north east Alabama, the gray and black rat only intergrade in a few counties in North bama, manly, Jackson and Dekalb ..Where I am from.. That is just a nice gray.

Without a doubt, that is a Gray Ratsnake (Elaphe obsoleta spiloides).
