Your Costa Ricans are gorgeous. A very well respected breeder told me today that he got out of CR's because their temperament makes them tend to become unmanagable as adults.

I'd be surprised. I've got a couple pairs of two year olds and they're fine. Also, we've caught adults in C.R. and they were pretty mellow actually. Some hiss like steam kettles, but others were quite placid and didn't mind being handled.
The link below has pics to some cbb babies I imported this past July. Sorry the pics are dark. Anyway, they really lighten up over the first year. A couple of mine are similar to the pics BigRedtails posted, however these snakes are from up in the Central Valley, North of Alajuela.
Pics are great and I'm loving my CR.
