for some reason I've got a bad feeling about these. Is the next big wave in breeding going to be trying to perfect this so called new color morph?
Poor little thing. Why on earth would someone try to promote a trait that loses the very thing that makes chams special? Their glorious color act. Its probably a very recessive genetic mutation that would not survive in the wild and should not be selected for in a healthy captive population. It is probably linked to lots of health issues too. Think I'll pass.
I feel sorry for the chameleon and I think it is morally wrong to breed from those with an obvious defect...
I agree with the lack of ethics involved in creating newer, stranger and more exotic pets for us humans. If you look at dogs, cats and horses, so many of them have been inbred and back bred to "perfect" the blood lines. This is how we ended up with hip displasia, elbow displasia, gluocoma, early onset of arthritis...and the list goes on and on and on.
Its funny how we don't bred humans to get more "albinos" LOL!
My opinion...leave it alone and let nature be nature!
Kris
PS...is there really such thing as a "LIAGER"? (LOL again)

The breeder had them at the Daytona Breeders EXPO. I personally thought they looked like they were diseased with the pigmentless body parts and patches. Most definitely not something I fell should be line bred to reproduce.
