Hi there
my name is Sherrie and I am new to your board but I thought an Iguana board would be the best place to post and get the most opinions from
We are picking up an Iguana tomorrow. He is 2 years old and probably the healthest one I have ever seen. In my "olden" days by the time I was called to pick one up they were in pretty bad shape .. so getting one so healthy is just kind of GREAT!!!
Ok here is the question (well almost
Oscar is 2 years old a little over 4 feet will come with both his inside cage, outside cage, UV lights, mister, fan, food (except for the veggies) that he has been eating. He will eat of your hand but was never taught to be people friendly. We will have to take him out of his outside cage to trasport him to our place. I know to watch out for his tail unless I want new scars
What would be the best way to trasport him? wrap him with his eyes covered to keep him calm? "towel" him and put in carrier? "towel" and carry (there will be two of us) .. also have any of you had to just "grab" one that is has not been tame? I need all the help I can get here so please any lurkers jump out and give your opinions to so I can wiegh everything together
by the way I do believe Oscar is a female as I don't remember seeing any orange at all but then that doesn't mean anything as I need new glasses
I will take pictures and put them up tomorrow evening after we are home and settled .. but I really need to know what I am in for as for "capturing" him .. hmmmm her
Will know more tomorrow
Thank you so much for helping a new one to your board
