how many eggs does a cricket lay a night

tas Aug 28, 2006 11:06 PM

I have heard that they can have up to 100 eggs a female but is that every night or entire life span. I am looking to set up a colony to produce about a 100 crickets a week.

Also how long does it take to get to be 1/2inch?

Thanks!!!!!!!

OK just kidding. But I've read hundreds also. And I've seen 100's when I have tried it.

Why worry? I think? once she starts dropping eggs she just continues? I might be wrong. Crix live 6-7 weeks tops. So 1/2" is about 3-4 weeks or so, depending on who's you have and how they are fed.

I find them a pain to do. personally.
