I don't know about how often, but I've seen pictures of kings with a larger snake hanging out of its mouth.

I don't know about wild kings but my kings will try to kill and devour anything they think they can overpower, last year a baby cali actually attacked a florida that was twice it's size the florida did'nt have a chance and had to be rescued then a short time after that the baby cali went after "BUTCH",well, end of story, bummer.

why arent king snakes able to over power large indigo snakes
Well for one thing Indigos have a skull crushing bite.
and dat's de name 'o' DAT tune!

Indigo snakes are HUGE. I mean girth wise - I don't think there is any snake native to the United States, and possibly not even Mexico, that comes even close to Indigo snakes in the girth department.

Well, i suppose a large Mexican Boa Constrictor might beat an Indigo in girth, but I don't think so when adjusted for length.

No I am not sorry im not trying to start anything. But the truth is the truth I mean i dont see why someone would get offended by real facts. It has just been something that has made me so curious for so long. I knew king snakes were HUGE on eating other snakes but I knew indigo snakes were also and wanted to know between the 2 which one usually gets eaten. But i found my answer in the dry forum. Learning so much so fast
Sorry Poison, my Evil Twin took over there for a sec. He was only pulling your leg - the King vs. Indigo thing has long been a lively topic of debate.

Now, Mike - Well, that is just sick, man. Flaunting your King-Killer like that. You know Tex is the Stone Cold of the snake world.
Do you think the King Kamp goes over to the Venomous Forum, showing off their Diamondback Destroyers?
(Not that it wouldn't be cool!)

Does anyone know how long mikes snake is? wow looks so big!
I need to get a measurement on him. He is over 6 feet long, but I don't think he's 7' yet. He is about 9 years old.
He is a big guy, but they get much bigger. I think that pic enhances his size somewhat, which is why I like it. He is a handful in any case.
Protect our children and pets. That is one gargantuan beast of a beautiful snake. Holy cow!!! How old is he? I take it that it is a Texas Indigo Because everything is supposed to be bigger in Texas. Derek
Yeah, any more questions? That bad boy rocks! THERE ARE NO KINGS IN TEXAS THAT WOULD EVEN BE MORE THAN AN APPETIZER TO A TEXAN! So big easterns are cool and all but......c'mon!
