I had tiny white bugs in my Aspen bedding that I assumed were wood mites.
All accounts that I've read about snake mites are that the mites are black.
One of my friends seems to think that snake mites are white at first, then turn black. This worries me as now I think I might've had snake mites and not wood mites.
Suffice it to say. I cleaned out all the Aspen bedding. Cleaned all my cages. Then sprayed them with a Nix solution (I read a good mite solution that used this on KS). I even lightly sprayed all of the snakes too. I am no longer going to use Aspen bedding. I will now be using paper and CareFresh.
