Godzilla does not need to mate. To get rid of mating season aggression and frustration you can give him a luvsock--stuffed lizard, green towel, stuffed sock, etc... Both females and males can be harmed since mating can be violent. Once when I didn't realize my male had gone back in season, my small MBD deformed female tore a large hunk of my males mouth because she wasn't receptive to his attention. She half his size. His mouth healed but the piece never did grow back. Some males in their enthusiasm have been know to end up gutting the female with their claws.
Just because he wants to mate is no reason to let him. If he wanted to eat foods that were bad for him, would you feed it to him. If he wants to bite you, would you let him.
If you really wanted him to have what he wants or live naturally, you would send him to his natural ecosystem and release him.

Just wondering, would they survive if you sent them to their natural environment?
Given the problems occurring in Florida due to released pet iguanas, I'd say they could. But they would have to contend with their natural enemies in the rainforest but is just part of the cycle of life.

It's an interesting idea for rescues.
Is that the babies are going to have to go somewhere. With so many igs in rescues, is there really reason to create more?
