I know you have had this question asked many times and are probably tired of it being asked, BUT.....I use aspen shavings, prepacked from a pet store. In some of the pictures I see of snakes from various breeders, there is bedding that looks like shavings and some looks like ground corn cobs. Some could even resemble vermiculite. I have heard a few discouraging things about aspen. A lot of my snakes like to go underground. Could someone give me some advice please...Thanks

I have always used paper towels for my hatchlings and yearlings and Aspen for my adults. I have also heard the horror stories lately, so I think I'm going to put everyone on paper towels after this bag is gone. Some will say they have used Aspen for years with no problem. I would just be devasted if my Hypo-Lavs or Hypo-Bloodreds or any of my guys got impacted. I think it is just personal choice. For me, paper towels are a for sure safe choice.
