To Buy a Proven Breeder or an 06' & wait

Steven_ucf Aug 29, 2006 08:08 PM

Hello,

I am a ball python owner, but I currently just have a pet normal ball. But I am intrested in getting into breeding morphs. So I was wondering if anyone had any advise. My delema is this; should I buy an adult snake or a proven breeder and take the chance of getting scammed and buying someone elses dud; or buy a 06 hatchling and wait 3 years raising it myself. Also, how do I know who is a reputable breeder and who isn't.

Please advise.

Thanks

There are alot of people who dont scam. Go though the adds and ask questions! a virgin could fail to produce just like a proven breeder.

Im pretty impataint and wanted to buy adults but went ahead and got young ones instead. Less of an initial investment and I can go slow and learn a lot more along the way with raising them ect. If my Albino project yeilds some good results I will have no problem getting a return on my money and have some nice snakes as well, if nothing else I will have a bunch of good female breeders.

As I mentioned before, that I am new to morphs - could anybody provide any advice in what to look for in a good pastel (bell line). To me they look a lot like a normal ball with good blushing, I find it hard to tell the quality by looking at pictures - I am just trying to get some information before making a purchase any help would be appreciated. Thanks A Ton!
