Tubs as enclosures: a few questions

turtlequest Aug 29, 2006 08:16 PM

I am planning on using my newly purchased rack for my BP's. I have some sterilite tubs as the enclosure.

1. What do you guys think works best for hide boxes? They are Yearling size btw.

2. Can you please post some pictures of the inside of your tubs? I just want to see how you have them set-up with the hides and water dishes.

thanks.

These are the 12" pot drain things (plastic). Cost me like $2. they are light and low so they lay directly on the animal and are light enough that even my 2000+ gram girls can get under them with ease.

This is how I set my Balls up.
The large and medium hides are Glad plastic cookware containers. I cut the lip around the edge off so it doesn't get crap stuck in it.
The small hides I pick up off K.S. classifieds or at shows.

Or just the hot side?

Depends what you keep your snakes in. I keep mine in an enclosed rack. Some of my animals dont even have hides, and some NEED them. The ones that do have a hide on the warm side and thats it.
