but does this look like a black pastel to you...at all?

Very interesting looking snake. I don't think I have seen any that have a tannish outline of the 'alien head' patterns. Unless it is actually white but picture is showing them as more of a tan.

I don't think I ever heard of a black pastal so certainly can't help you there. Just wanted to say he's a nice looking snake, whatever morph he is

if that is a black pastel it has to be the worst example of one that could be had. In my opinion it's a normal and if you paid extra for it as a black pastel you made a mistake.

My girlfriend bought it for $30 at Petco for my birthday. I picked it out because it looked different.
I could see a few similiarities to a black pastel...is why I asked.

be extra careful if you got it at petco. i know at mine we periodically get mite infestations. something about the aspen bedding we have to use.
