3D Cage Backgrounds

Dan6971 Aug 30, 2006 06:02 AM

Hey...

Where can I get cool 3D Cage Backgrounds for my little buddy, "Fluffy?"

I want him to have a cool, thin wall of rock in the back of his enclosure. How can I go about creating this?

Would you ever place a big rock you find outside, in an enclosure? Would you clean it first? How would you clean it?

Most importantly, I want to know about 3D backgrounds (made of rock)... Thank you.

I have heard of people making them out of polysteryne(sp?) and tile grout but I have yet attempted this myself. Check www.herphabitats.com for instructions.

I posted a bunch of links to sites regarding the construction of faux rock work in the thread linked below. Should give you a bunch of ideas and a bit of reading.

if you get rocks from outside ...clean it with anti bacterial really good then bake it at a high temp in your oven for about 15..20..minutes to kill any mites or anything
