well he arrived today! he is a beauty! not the best pic, but you all get the ideal! one quick question.........I noticed he had some white specks here and there. do these go away with age? you do not notice it too much, but I am just curious if he will lose them as he grows? also thought I would attach a pic of my new pink eye leucistic ratsnake hatchling that i just got today as well! again not the best pic!

Yes the white flecks fade with age but not completely. I asked the same question when I got mine. She is now about 2 years old and if you look hard enough you can still see a faint pattern along her sides, and a white spot on her chin. Here is an old photo when it was more apparent.

Mine has some white scales on his chin that look like a soul patch--haven't gone away in over 5 years. Congrats on your very pretty babies--enjoy them!

Mine is a classroom pet--never hides, watches the children as much as they watch him. He's even decided that he likes being diurnal--go figure. I chose him practically out of the egg, liking his "soul patch"--traded my friend a neonate corn for him. What is interesting is that neither of his parents have any white scales on them. Due to those scales I've never bred him--he's just a cool pet.

Breed him, it's ok!!! He will love you for it!
