Injured Leg?

howitser Aug 30, 2006 07:56 PM

One of my golden geckos has started favoring a front leg. It doesn't really move the leg, and kind of "limps" on it when it does use it. It's almost like it's out of joint, I don't see any swelling on it to indicate a break, just looks like it's avoiding putting any weight/pressure on it. Anyone have an idea what might have caused it, or what it might be? I'm looking into a herp vet to take it to, but also don't want to injure the gecko further by catching it & transporting it.

Any input is welcome!

Howie

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that. Taking him to a vet would definitly be the best idea. Maybe he'll put a gecko cast on him! Let us know what you do, or what the vet does for him, i'd def. be curious. Goodluck, I think as long as he still eats and takes it easy on that arm then it'll heal in time.
