Conservation for the New England Timber

salemserpent Aug 30, 2006 09:08 PM

I'm looking to see if anybody out there has some information on
the present conservation efforts to preserve Timber Rattle Snakes in New England. I live in Massachusetts and have close ties with New Hampshire.

Being an animal lover I would love to help out if at all possible. I have being actively hiking through a "known den" area to attempt to photograph them and bring more awareness to the subject.

Any ideas?

You might try contacting the Mass Dept. of Env. Resources and also subscribe to People for Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (PARC). Its free and there are quite a few timber rattlesnake people on there. Link for their site is below.
