Has anyone crossed a TransPecos Rat with anything else?
I believe there has been one recorded instance of crossing with B. rosaliae
Interesting. I wonder what a Suboc/Rosaliae would look like as an adult. Any idea where I might find more info on this?
I would really be interested to see something outside the genus. Maybe they would cross with some of the more colorful Elaphe (especially if nobody told them that they are no longer in that genus -LOL). I just love those bug-eyes and would be interested to see them on something else. Might look pretty wild on a small headed king of some sort.
I can't remember the source, I'll look around and see if I can find any additional info for you. For some reason I am remembering Germany? Unusual though because across the pond hybrids are disliked even more than here. I don't know why subocularis hasn't been included in projects thus far, I guess that thier late breeding cycle might have put some breeders off but there are plenty of sp that could be tried. I am curious to know whether a gutatta x suboc would look like a flavirufa.
