NIGEL MARVEN TO HEADLINE
AT THE NORTH AMERICAN REPTILE CONFERENCE
September 23rd & 24th, 2006, Anaheim, CA – The stars of Snakes on a Plane have nothing on Nigel Marven!
From sharks to alligators to anacondas, Nigel has proven he can hold his own in the animal
kingdom! You may have seen him hosting Discovery’s Shark Week; Nigel’s Wild, Wild World or
Chased by Sea Monsters. Now he’s starring in Animal Planet’s new blockbuster Prehistoric Park in
the fall. The host, film-maker and author will appear at the third annual North American Reptile
Conference and Trade Show on Saturday and Sunday, September 23-24 at the Anaheim Convention
Center. Nigel will be available to meet fans and sign autographs and will deliver a talk on “Reptile
Filming Around the World: From Dinosaurs to Komodo Dragons!” Saturday at 3 p.m. The lecture is
free with the purchase of a show ticket.
“We’re thrilled to have Nigel Marven as our special guest at this year’s event. Nigel is one of the
most well-respected film-makers in the industry and quite a personality at that,” notes Bob Ashley,
a producer of the Reptile Conference. “It’s a real honor for our conference to host such a talent and
showgoers are sure to have a unique experience if they come to meet Nigel – nobody has better
stories!” Ashley added.
Nigel’s new show “Prehistoric Park” is already a huge hit in the U.K. and Australia and is sure to
have a large following in the U.S. The program launches at the end of October on Animal Planet
and will present Nigel in a new challenging setting: going back in time to rescue prehistoric animals
from extinction and bringing them back to the ultimate wildlife sanctuary. Each episode involves a
different prehistoric adventure as he heads back in time to save creatures. In the process he
experiences some of Earth’s most devastating extinctions and finds out what caused them. You can
