Dewormers

-okapi- Aug 31, 2006 11:50 AM

Ive personally used three different dewormers with leopard geckos: panacur, droncit, and ivermectin. I was wondering what most of you guys use, why, and what you think of the drug you used. Im thinking about using panacur for all my new geckos but I figured Id get everyones thoughts first. My vet doesnt get much experience with "throw away" pets so each time Ive gone to her for a deworming she used a different dewormer. That way she has some Idea of how effective and safe they are for reptiles. So far every pet of mine that shes treated has done fine, but droncit doesnt work for everything, and ivermectin can be dangerous if overdosed. Panacur has a wider range of effectiveness against many nematodes, but has to be repeated to completely eliminate the problem. But it is very safe (it can be overdosed up to 5000 times the normal dosage in dogs). What are your thoughts?

I use parazap. It is 100% effective, and 100% natural. Go to www.beardeddragonbiz.com as they sell it. I've never had parasites, and with parazap never will. It kills all parasites naturally, and it is not harsh on your pets system. It contains worm wood, and black chestnut to kill parasite eggs, parasites, and increases your pets appetite. It can be used on any pet including reptiles, cats, and dogs. I'd definitely give it a try because you will save money, you will treat the problems, and you will better your reptile in the long run. antibiotics, or and pesticide type medicine will affect your pet worse than the parasites will in low numbers. I hope this helps, as it should.
