Those are some good looking river hatchlings. Sure would like to see what produced them. Any chance you might post pics of the adults?

This picture depicts her as being a little lighter and brighter orange than she actually is. So tone down the orange and maybe make her hair darker, but still a light snake for sure. I need to get more up to date shots of her with better color (true).
The male is a heavily speckled, medium light, no orange alterna. He is an old adult and was probably smokin in his prime. I'll take some pictures of him sometime soon.

Lesser orange or not, it's still awesome!!

Thanks for taking the time to post the parents Brad. You can definitely see where all the speckling in the babies came from. Even if you tone down the female a bit she is still a nice looking animal, but I actually like the male a bit better. Then again I am a sucker for speckling.
Did you catch the male, and if not, do you know who did and when? I couldn't help but notice the large scar on the male. Troy H. mentioned in passing about a snake that had a big scar that was being attacked by, I think he said an owl, at the time it was found. I don't rememeber who Troy said now had the snake he mentioned. Is this that snake by chance?
Thanks again for posting the photos. Very Nice.
DB
Yes, that is the same snake Troy was talking about and no, I did not find it myself. I purchased it from Ian ? and I think he is the one that caught it, but I don't pay munch attention to those details. Although, I don't think the owl caused scar, it was an old scar when they found the snake.
The new pictures are much more accurate but only my monitor, all monitor are different.
Regards,
Brad
That male was caught in 92 by Ian Ricchio [not sure of spelling]. IT WAS SOME TIME IN JUNE. I believe it was just where you start to climb the big hill going east bound. Somewhere between Panther canyon and the top of the big hill.Hey Ian you out there? Charlie Bentley
Ah... '92, when snakes down south were a plenty along w/ the rain. Thanks for the info.
Good to see you and Jennifer last week. Wish you would have had better luck other than getting to play golf on a course w/ the world's smallest greens.
DB
