Incubator

lg1990 Aug 04, 2003 08:06 PM

Hey everyone, I have a great idea! I was thinking, to make a homemade incubator, that you can get a small lamp, put a 40-60 watt indescent bulb in it, and then put a plastic container with moist vermiculite and the eggs in it, and use plastic wrap for the lid of the container with 2 holes poked in. Could this work?

probally would work. I use a 38 quart coleman cooler and a fish submersible fish tank heater (thermostat and heater all in one neat huh) Put 3 or 4 inches of water in the bottom set temp (use a cheap digital thermometer with probe). Set some bricks or make a grate out of an old refrigerator shelf and viola incubator. I also set up my egg containers like at WWW.albeysreptiles.com works great no fail 100% success for me this year
