What kind of snake is this?

qsmith Aug 31, 2006 04:24 PM

I found this snake in my yard last night. I live in southwest Arizona in a rural desert community. I was able to scare him out of my yard and back into the dessert. He was about 36" - 40" long and fairly thin. I found him surrounded by my five dogs and he was hissing at them. Thanks for your help.
