New CB Ball Python

metalmistress3 Aug 31, 2006 08:26 PM

Here are a few pictures of my new Captive Bred Male Ball Python.
He was born May 17th. His name is Max.
Let me know what you think.....

P.S. I have a question. I have never done this, but I'm wondering for future reference, is it bad if a rat is kept in cedar bedding and then fed to a snake?
I heard that cedar is a very bad substate to use for snakes, but what if you use it for their food??

I wouldent use ceder, I've heard it's bad for the mice too. And I would think that any oils in the ceder that could be bad for a snake could be transfered via the fur of a mouse. I use aspen, it's a little more expensive, but you want your animals to be healthy.
