how long do they live

ok, iv'e had a couple of western hognose and both have died at about 4 years old... how long do these guys usuall live in captivity?

I suspect the captive longevity records exceed 25 years. A 4 year old Hog is barely an adult.
If you have lost 2 hogs in under 4 years, you need to closely examine your husbandry techniques before you try again. You may be doing something wrong.
I have noticed that in other species of colubrids, overfeeding and rushing to breeding size can lead to premature deaths in some species. I haven't ever heard about this in hogs, but it is something to investigate.
