Hi Everyone! Oh,and tons of herp photos

evilzard Aug 31, 2006 10:08 PM

Hi Everyone,

This is my first time posting to the forum and wanted to introduce myself. My name Jack Goldfarb - I know I've met several of you guys while herping Texas and thought I'd finally say hello here. I'm up at Texas Tech in Lubbock working on Texas horned lizards, but whenever I have time I herp everywhere I can and have had a great season thus far. I've gone down to the Freer area and the transpecos several times and saw tons of stuff. I take tons of photos of everything I see. If you want I posted them to my Flickr page. If you follow this link it forwards you there : www.jackgoldfarb.com

There are tons of photos there, many from Texas and others from places as far away as Costa Rica. I also took photos of that awesome alterna Aaron found on the Observatory and for that I am very grateful to him.

I also wanted to say that while herping here in Texas, I've met some of the nicest and most helpful people I've ever met and I'm very grateful for all the information I've received as well as for being able to talk to my fellow herpers.

Well, sorry for the long post, but I thought I'd say hi and introduce myself.

Happy Herping!

Jack

I have some people here you need to meet.

Welcome to the page, I did a quick looky at your pictures. I got through a bunch of pages, but it looks like it will take some time see them all. But it looks like it would be worth the time.

Hope to see you around

That is the shee-ot mon! Truely the Eric Johnson of Herp (and related) photos I have witnessed in quite a season! Once again I add a resounding HOORAY! to the forum.

If you recall, my good friend Nathan Hall and I met you out late one night on Black Gap in early July. I was the guy that pulled the little longnose off a cut just moments before you pulled up. Nice to see you posting and I really very much so enjoyed the pictures. I had to take a day off from everything just to go through half of them..lol.
E-mail me when you get the chance. Take care.

Hey Everyone,

Thanks! I have had a great season! I owe most of my success to the awesome people I've met while herping in here. I'm so grateful that other herpers have shared information with me and allowed me to get some photos of some awesome herps. I'm glad you guys like my photos.

Nathan : Of course I remember you! Great to talk to with you!

May the herps be plentiful for everyone!

During a quiet night in the hospital, I viewed most of your photos. They are incredible. I met you on the observatory road shortly after you found the milksnake. I look forward to seeing more. You seem to have a wide interest in nature. Too bad your camera settings were off when you photographed the cats.

Thanks Aaron, it was great to meet you too! Thanks again for letting me get some photos of that alterna!

Hi Steve, I do remember meeting you - it was a pleasure! I'm glad you enjoyed looking at my photos and yes, I still can't believe I didn't change the settings on my camera for those mountains lions. I was so excited that I didn't realize it until 10 minutes afterwards. Oh well. At least you can still see them though especially if you view those photos in the largest size.
You can count on more photos - photography is one of my passions!

Jack
