Hi All,

I'm new to this forum, so thought I would say hi!
Ive been keeping snakes since about 7 years of age, I'm 22 now and I live in the UK.
I'm hoping to add an Albino Burm to my collection. I have reserved a baby 18 inch male. I have kept many boids in the past but the Burm will be my first giant.
I was wondering if anyone has any pics of a Burm at around a year in age?
I recently tore my knee and will be going in for an operation in the near future to fix it. Its going to take about a year to fully re-hab my leg, so I am just making sure I will be able to cope with the Burm as he grows until I am back on my feet. Of course my family will help, but I like to do most of the care myself.
I handled a female of around 10 - 12ft the other day at my local reptile centre whilst in a wheelchair and had no problems.

Anyway thanks for reading!

All the best

Mark

With a helper you should do fine. I had hand and wrist surgery a year ago, and while handling was kept to a minimum, with a helper, I managed. Look for a dependable helper, and you'll be fine.
Good luck with the surgery.

Here is a pic of a female burm between 12 and 18 months old. I forgot exactly when I took the pic. Todd

And here is a male of the same age. As you can see the male is much smaller and more handable then a female will be. Todd
