Corytophanes cristatsus male or female

Hello,

I could use advice on how to tell wether my Corytophanes cristatus is male or female

There are three species of corytophanes...cristatus, hernandezii and percarinatus. Do you know which one you have?

Two are egglayers and the third is live-bearing.

The easiest way to tell a male from a female is the base of the tail. Males have a wider tail-base (the part just south of where the legs join the body).

If you post a picture from the side I might be able to tell.

I would say male!
Good looking condition!

They are awesome lizards! I haven't had any for a few years now....concentrating on some others...but I would like to keep them again.
