BABY EASTERNS

MARK FARRELL Sep 01, 2006 01:03 PM

Hello all: Its that time of the year, this years hatchlings are popping up. I found this baby eastern milksnake yesterday at my favorite spot. At a softball field. The softball filed is located behind a recycling center and in the middle of a swamp. Plenty of local mice & voles to keep them happy. I've caught and released a few adults and the baby's have always start showing up this time of year. I'm glad to see a healthy population. I've put down tarps in a few places which the local serpents, Garter, brown, Rat & milksnakes seem to flock to. It's very unusual if I turn them over and nothing is there. Just thought I'd share this picture

Sounds like you have a good spot. It's nice when you can go looking for snakes and actually find them.
