The most unique BCI locality....

RioBravoReptiles Sep 01, 2006 07:38 PM

.. and possibly the most beautiful! This is one of our Islas del Maize or Corn island boas form this year's litters.

.
It is my feeling that they would qualify for subspecific status if the work was put into it.. We are very proud to have been so instrumental in establishing these in culture!
.
I really like these boas.

of an even more beautiful Boa...

I was curious, this is the first time since I have been on these forums, that a well respected breeder and Herpetoculturist has mentioned that he thinks a locale of BCI qualifies for subspecies status, I was just wondering what those qualifications might be? I agree that Corn Islands due Qualify, and so do many others in my opinion, but I was curious as to what the Qualifing points are?
