mealy beetles?

can you feed the mealworm beetles to your animals

It normally isn't a problem (to feed Tenebrioid beetles) with some lizards, but some lizards will spit them out right away because of the defensive secretion. The beetles secrete a larger amount of a methyl quinone compound (than the larva) that acts as an acrid deterent to many predators. As far as toxicity, I've never seen my lizards that do eat them have problems digesting them.
