hibernation

Laubster Sep 02, 2006 05:59 PM

I live in NW Washington, which is a pretty mild climate for winters. I have read many places that my turtle will hebernate in the winter and be ok. Is this true?
I was wondering what I need to do for her to help her hibernate. What type of area will she hibernate in?
When do they normaly hibernate?
Thans for the help!!

Most people suggest not hibernating for the winter. I know what you're talking about, I'm in Washington. However, if they're kept outside, then they'll do what comes naturally. All you have to do is provide some mud and/or other materials. lol If you keep them inside at room temperature, they'll be fine without hibernation.
